A Year in Review and a Look Forward

2016 was an incredible year for iFuse Solutions. We completed two full years of service in September, added new staff, completed huge projects, and set ourselves up for the most productive year in our history.

Project Deployment: Late in 2015, we decided to dip our toe in the IMAC Project Deployment space for the first time and knew we needed to hire some talent to manage this space for us. Ross Wason came to the rescue in February of 2016 and has been a tremendous help to our staff, not only in the project space, but in every facet of the business. He's been in the IT Staffing business longer than April, Kim, and I have been out of college. His workmanlike demeanor and vast knowledge proved to be the right choice, and that decision is still paying off for all of us today.

Deciding to be in the Project Deployment space was a great choice for us as it has helped us grow revenues to more than double what we did in 2015. We are proving to be a valuable asset to our clients in this department. We plan to expand our horizons and grow this division this year.

Marketing Push: Early in 2016, we decided to make a move in our marketing efforts. After interviewing several companies we landed with Whistle Communications headed by Todd Sheppard. With our growth, we quickly found out it was difficult to maintain a good social presence and keep our clients updated with our current events. Adding Whistle’s talents to our roster has been one of the best moves so far in our history.  If you check out our website, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, or join our email campaigns you will see why we feel so strongly about our relationship with Todd and his team at Whistle.

Administrative Functions: You will notice that a common theme is starting to develop over the last year. With 2016 being a productive year for us, we began to struggle with time management. There are only 24 hours in a day and to get to everything that needed to be done we needed more resources to allocate critical functions of the business.

In September, we added Melissa Moscalink to the iFuse fold. Looking back sometimes I think we get so lucky when it comes to acquiring new talent for our team.  Melissa has taken all that we can give her and still asks for more. She has an amazing aptitude for new technologies and a great team attitude. She recently told me that when people ask her what she thinks of her new job she emphatically says, “I LOVE IT!”

Adding Melissa has allowed us to split our time more wisely while she handles all of our day-to-day administrative tasks like timekeeping, invoicing, billing, team resource management, and many more things. She is a big reason we are so excited about 2017.

Adding to the Sales Team: To build on the incredible momentum we were creating in Northeast Ohio, we decided it was time to bring in a heavy hitter from a business development prospective. In November, we added Nathaniel Volenik to the team. We ran an exhaustive search before crossing paths with Nate. As soon as we sat down with him, we knew we had our guy. He brings passion, an unbelievable drive, and great attitude to the team.  There isn’t a day that goes by I do not see Nate around the office that he doesn’t say something along the lines of, “Today, we are going to change the world!”

Building on a Great Foundation: It has been April, Kim and from the beginning of 2016 as the foundation of iFuse Solutions. We have all three grown so much this past year.  I am not sure if anyone has told you this or not but getting a business off the ground in a highly saturated IT staffing market is extremely hard to do. It takes a special person and people to have the faith to make the leap from a stable situation to a startup. Kim and April have been there from the beginning and have worked tirelessly to not only get iFuse off the ground but to make it the best company in Northeast Ohio. We are not the best company in Northeast Ohio yet, but with an amazing foundation of people who are willing to make unbelievable sacrifices that distinction is certainly achievable.

I feel so proud and blessed (even overwhelmingly lucky sometimes) to be leading such a wonderful group of people. I hope they all know that I wake up each day thinking I need to be on my game so I don’t let down such an amazing group of people. I predict 2017 will be the biggest year yet at iFuse. It's not because we are smarter, work harder, or are savvier than our competitors, but because somehow we’ve all been lucky enough to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. We all strive to be the best in the world for our customers and the candidates we serve.

We look forward to hearing from you and wish the best in your desire and ambition to make 2017 the best year in the history of your life.

Make IT Happen!
